United States Celebrates Its 235th Birthday!

On Monday, July 4, 2011, the United States celebrated the 235th anniversary of the adoption of the Declaration of Independence by the Continental Congress in Boston on July 4, 1776.

In Bissau, the reception was presided on July 7, 2011 by Ambassador Bernicat and Mr. Adelino Mano Queta, Bissau-Guinean Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Communities, in Bissau.  

The 235th anniversary coincided with the fiftieth anniversaries of the U. S. Peace Corps and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
